Our History

In order to dimension the strategic intent of the Matic Group, it is important to understand the company’s inception to market and the growth strategy adopted throughout its trading history.

The company adopts a strong theme of growth, specialization, diversification and a commitment to continuous improvement. This path is adopted through embracing the company values of Safety, Customer, Team Work and Performance.

Matic Transport commences operations whereby Company Director Danny Matic purchases his first Prime Mover.

From a strategic point-of-view, the company seized upon opportunities within the pneumatic tanker sector of the industry and recognized a niche in the market place.

Matic performed cement and lime cartage services on behalf of BIS Industries whereby the company strived for specialization and uniqueness in the service offering.

Matic diversifies into Heavy Haulage logistics specializing in crane mobilization/demobilization and OOG transport.

With growing demands being felt in the Oil and Gas sector, in particular with the Gorgon Gas Mainland Logistics Project, the company embarked on a growth strategy by increasing its focus in the heavy haulage, bulk tipper and general freight sectors of the business.

Witnessed the commencement of Matic being awarded an exclusive contract directly with Cockburn Cement Ltd to perform cement and lime cartage services throughout Western Australia.

With continued growth being felt in the heavy haulage and general logistics sectors, the company created a separate business entity named Matic Logistics. Matic was awarded the following contracts during the reporting period:
